A brief history of Earl

Earl Hartlen was born and raised in Nova Scotia. In his youth, as a radio broadcaster, he travelled Canada extensively and eventually took roots in Norfolk County living in Simcoe, Waterford and Port Dover. A change in occupations to automotive sales in the early 70’s did not deter Earl from his passion for photography. I’m not sure who said it first, but I’ve heard him say it on numerous occasions “Buying a Nikon camera does not make you a photographer. It makes you a Nikon owner.” Earl is one of those rare people who sees beauty where most do not and he has the knowledge of how to capture it in a photograph. Whether choosing one of Earl’s photographs for your own pleasure or as a gift, one thing is certain, you will have a very difficult time choosing just one.
